I have ice building up around the drain and eventually it builds up along the bottom enough that the freezer starts defrosting. The appliance repair people have come out twice. And i have defrosted it myself twice, and the ice keeps building up. The first man that came out said i needed a small heater that runs along the bottom back of the freezer to keep the drain from icing up. My husband said he could put it in, but i don't know what part to even get or where. We don't have money right now to spend on a repair man. Thanks.

Take a medium gauge, copper wire and wrap it around the defrost heater and stick a few Inches of it down the drain, should fix the problem.
