Upper oven bake element will not come on.
Upper broil element works.
Lower bake and broil elements work.
What I've tried:
Swapped upper and lower elements - no change.
Swapped upper and lower sensors - no change.

Assume problem is either in upper oven printed circuit board or touchscreen.
How can I troubleshoot?

Here are your parts
Parts for FSE849GHS0 - AppliancePartsPros.com

The problem here is that I cannot find a wiring diagram for the unit.

It may not be either part that you list.

If the everything looks OK when you enter key presses then odds are that the keypad is OK.

If the unit stays in preheat (either takes a long time to come ready or never comes ready) then at least part of the control board is good. It could still have a problem with the output that powers the element relay.

If you look in section 7 you will see two thermostats (item 4 and item 7).
I do not know what these are doing. It could be they are just part of the fan control circuit but some units uses these as an over temperature protection.
Also on some units they just shut off one element it they blow/open.
Trace the element wires to see if either wire from the bake element go to one of the thermostats.

Also look at Section 06 and you will see two relay boards.
I do not know which board controls which oven so again you will have to trace the wires.
This would be at the top on my list as a possible cause of your problem if everything else checks out OK.

With luck someone else will jump in or you will be able to find a wiring diagram. It would make trouble shooting this much easier.

Denman - thanks your your thorough response - very helpful!
The unit does stay in preheat, so, as you suggest, at least part of control board must be OK.
One of those thermostats is in series with both the broil and bake elements so I'm sure that it's ok (since broil element is working) - the other is for lower oven.
The relay board with the transformer (Y04100260) goes to the upper oven. I'm going to go ahead and order one and hope that it solves the problem...
Thanks again!!!!!
