This washer came with the house we bought recently, we don't know how old it is or other info as the owner has died. When we tried to do a wash only a low buzz happens, no water enters on any settings. The water is turned on and properly connected. However when you click through to the spin cycle the machine starts that cycle. There is really no budget for a new machine so we found this site and decided to attempt to fix it ourselves. Any help you could give is greatly appreciated

No water no matter what temp is selected? No hot or cold? Disconnect hoses and check the screens inside the water inlet valve assembly. Check for 120vac at inlet valve solenoid terminals when fill is selected. If you have good voltage and screens are clear, replace the valve assembly.
