Fridge/Freezer runs constantly all copper tubes leading to and from compressor at room temperature, after running for a hour the freezer and refrigerator compartments are has at room temperatue. My thoughts are that the timer is burned out or stuck in the defrost mode and heater is on all the time. My plan of attack at this time is pull the timer and run some test on it. Your thoughts on the problem.

Does the compressor run?

If it does then it's nothing to do with the defrost system.

Most likely the problem in such case is with the sealed system.

Gene.
