Got a call from my wife yesterday that the dryer had quit. My son put a small load in, pressed start and it immediately stopped. When I got home, it seemed like it was getting no juice, so I checked the breaker and discovered it was tripped. I reset it, went back to the unit, set it to Air Dry, press start and got the same result - an immediate shutdown casued by the breaker tripping. Unit is about 8.5 years old, run regularly, but not overly hard, lint screen is cleaned with each use (unless the teenager is involved), and pipe has good flow. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Last night I unplugged it and checked the power connections. Everything seemed good, but there was some lint. Not much, but there was some. I made sure everything was in place, vacuumed out the area and reconnected everything. I pulled the top of the unit off to check it for lint or anything obvious, and it was clean. I just checked all connections and then put it back together. I figured maybe the vibration from the washer sitting next to it could have unseated something. Upon throwing the breaker, the unit started running. It did not trip again. I have no idea if what I did changed anything, but for the moment, it's running.
