Admiral washer drains, but won't spin in wash cycle

My Admiral washer won't spin out the clothes when I set it in the Regular, Normal wash cycle. Once the cycle is complete I have to set it to the drain/spin cycle to spin out the clothes. Is it the Cam kit I need to replace?

Since it will spin out in other cycle that suggests there is nothing mechanically wrong with the machine and that the timer is at fault.
Try changing it out, and if you buy from this site and that is not the problem you can return the timer.

bingo , I would say its plastic gear in the timer missing a tooth or two, still have to replace the complete timer.

When you say the "timer" needs replaced do you mean the electronic control board part Number AP5645971?

Yes, that should be the part. It is an expensive part so if you buy from this site and that does not fix the problem you can return it.
Good luck
