Hi everyone, I have a Kenmore Elite Trio Parts for Kenmore Refrigerator 59676573600 - AppliancePartsPros.comThe symptoms of my fridge are that both the fridge and freezer are on the warm side. My freezer hovers around 15 degrees while my fridge at 45. Normally I'm at 0 on the freezer and 38 on the fridge. I went to the back and removed the panel and felt the warm compressor and saw the external fan blowing. I then went to the bottom drawer and removed the back freezer plate. I noticed the heater coils half-way frozen. The top was frozen while the bottom half were clean. The internal fan also appears to be working. It seems that the problem is it won't defrost. The frost is blocking the airway to the rest of the fridge. How can I tell if the problem is a bad board, thermostat, or blown fuse? Where is the fuse located on this model? Thanks

Also for the past few months my wife noticed that food near the back of the fridge were freezing. I'm assuming that's normal since that's directly the path of the freezer airflow?
This week I cleaned out the coils on the bottom of the fridge which were pretty much clogged with handfuls of dust bunnies.
Hope that helps diagnose my problem :(

Re- check the evaporator coils, if still partially frozen, you have a refrigerant leak/ bad compressor.

Yes my evaporator coils were partially frozen in the back. I left it alone unplugged and now the fridge is at 39 for the fridge and 15 for the freezer.

I replaced the thermostat ($29 from appliancepros.com) and it has been running for 12 hours and the temps dropped to 10 degrees (freezer) and 33 degrees (fridge).
I know you're supposed to wait 24 hours so maybe tonight if the freezer temp goes down to -4 I'll consider it fixed or am I masking a real problem here?
The half-frozen evaporator coils worries me based on what richappy said :(

Check the compressor, probably shut down on thermal overload.
