Eric,
I get nothing when I put a jumper from T to W in the wrinkle guard cycle.
BAD TIMER? :(

Can't say. Not making any sense. You say timer is advancing in wrinkle guard which means there is 120vac at timer BU terminal which also provides 120vac to start switch which provides 120vac to motor. Jumping T to W completes neutral circuit to motor, motor should start. Would have to get my hands on your dryer at this point to make any sense out of it.

Eric,
I just found out that if I hold the push to start button in it will tumble every 5 minutes for about 30 seconds in the wrinkle guard cycle and the buzzer will buzz when it stops tumbling.

Could this be a start button issue?
Does the push to start button have a relay built into it?

Yes, it has a coil in it that keeps the switch closed once you manually close it. It should remain closed until power is removed from it via timer contacts or the door is opened. However, you said the dryer works fine otherwise, "Everything else on the dryer works good, timed cycles and auto dry cycles all work" which indicates that the start switch/relay is working ok.

Need to check the voltage at the start switch blue wires. A bad connection may be causing a voltage drop. Voltage may be too low to maintain start switch closure but still allow motor to run.

Yes all drying cycles work great, just the end of cycle buzzer and wrinkle guard cycle is not working.
I will check the voltage on the blue wires.

All I know is as long as I hold the Start button in the buzzer will work at the end of all cycles and the wrinkle guard cycle will work, the buzzer even buzzes at the end of the 30 second tumble on the wrinkle guard cycle.

So do you think I should try a new start button switch?
Thanks Steve

I would check the voltage at the start switch with dryer motor running. One meter probe at a good ground or at timer T terminal and use other probe to check voltage at each blue wire. If one reads significantly lower than the other then yes, the switch has bad contacts and should be replaced.

Eric

Added: It takes a lot more current to start the motor than it does to just keep it running. Dirty contacts in the start switch could prevent the buzzer from working as well as prevent the motor from starting automatically in wrinkle guard. Pushing/holding the start button forces the contacts together more forcefully than the internal holding coil does so it does appear that the start switch is the culprit.

Eric,
Just so you know I found the problem.
You were right I had low voltage at the green wires 102 volts.

The reason for the low voltage was I was using a thing called an electric saver.
(A thing called “GreenPlug Washer and Gas Dryer Electricity Saver”)
I unhooked the dryer from this device and plugged it in directly to my receptacle AND NO MORE PROBLEMS! ;) :)
End of cycle buzzer works and wrinkle guard works as it should.

Just so you know if anyone else has a problem like this the first question you need to ask is, ARE YOU PLUGGED INTO ANY ELECTRIC SAVER DEVICE.
Eric thank you very much for your assistance and very good advice!

Thanks Steve

Ahhh, those things! Thought they quit selling them a long time ago. Piece of junk, haven't seen one in a while. Oh well, easy fix after all that.
