My end of cycle buzzer is not working and I also noticed my wrinkle guard cycle is not working.

I know the buzzer works because I unhooked it and wired it direct to an extension cord, when plugged into the electric it will buzz.

Could this be a defective timer?

Everything else on the dryer works good, timed cycles and auto dry cycles all work.
Just the wrinkle guard cycle and the end of cycle buzzer is not working.

Yes, sounds like a faulty timer.

Eric,
Before I order the timer is there any other component the wrinkle guard cycle and the end of cycle buzzer share?

I am pretty sure it is the timer because when it goes into the wrinkle guard cycle the timer will advance but it makes a rattling/ticking sound and will never tumble the dryer drum as it should every 5 minutes.
If I open the door the timer will stop as long as the door is open but as soon as you close the door the timer will start the rattling/ticking sound again.
If I remember correctly once the door is open the timer should stop in any cycle until the start button is pressed again.
Am I correct in that thinking?

Thanks Steve

No, timer should continue to run when door is closed regardless if drive motor is running or not. If ordered from APP, timer may be returned if it does not fix the problem.

Well the new timer did not help.

Could it be the control board?

The end of cycle buzzer is not sounding at the end of the cycle and the wrinkle guard cycle is not tumbling every so ofter as it should.(not tumbling at all in the wrinkle guard cycle)

What else would cause the buzzer to not buzz at the end of the cycle and the wrinkle guard cycle not work?

The only function of the control board is to advance the timer during auto dry cycle based on feedback from the moisture sensor bars. I assume you do have the buzzer switch turned on? It's part of the start switch so that is a possibility as well as a possible faulty motor switch. Wrinkle guard is controlled by the timer and wrinkle guard switch if your dryer has one.

Eric,
Would the end of cycle buzzer and the wrinkle guard cycle be controlled by the same motor switch?
Maybe that may be my problem.

And yes the buzzer and wrinkle guard switches are both turner on.

Faulty motor switch would not cause both problems. Check continuity on the wrinkle guard switch and the start switch buzzer control contacts.

I will check them right now and let you know.
Seems strange they would both be bad though.

Eric,
I do have continuity on the wrinkle guard switch.
But what terminals on the start switch do I use to check it for the buzzer?

Also what triggers the motor to start in the wrinkle guard cycle?
