Black Rubber ring around pump in tub floor deteoriating

Just noticed that the black rubber ring around the sump pump(?)in the tub floor is virtually gone and what is left is all very spongy and deteriorating. I have removed the kick plate and at this point in time I do not see any leakage under the dishwasher. How easy is the job to replace this ring? If it isn't too complicated of a job, I would like to give it a try, but I can't find any information or videos on the job. This dishwasher is basically running fine and cleaning the dishes, but it is 21 years old and I wonder if now is the time to replace the dishwasher rather than repairing it. Any help appreciated..... Thanks for the prompt reply. I would agree that is the part (#25 in section 4). The manual is helpful as it shows some very good photos of the parts all taken apart, although it doesn't actually reveal how to replace the seal... still deciding....
