Freezer is cold 0 degrees, Fridge is about 70 degrees.
first thing, the evaporator fan wasn't working I replaced that, and its working now. Still no cooling in fridge. With the freezer door closed there is a slight movement from the vent opening in the top of the fridge, when you open the freezer door there is NO movement of air in the fridge.
the coils are not frozen they are clean.
I am wondering about the vents from the freezer to the fridge? I could not see any damper doors, mine seem to have maybe aluminum tape, either covering them or directing the air flow. I believe there is a problem in this area.

when i connected the fan motor, is it possible to connect the two wires wrong, and would that cause the fan to run backward and not push air the way it should?

Ive put the cover back on the rear of the freezer again but when i looked the last time it appeared to be a light coating of frost over the entire coil, when the freezer goes into the defrost mode, i can feel warmth (heat) at the bottom of the coils, I can feel that warmth with the cover and shrouding installed.

I have verified that fan is running in the correct direction and is pushing quite bit of air. I don't really feel lots of air being pushed into the fridge.

I have been unable to locate or identify the damper.
Where the vent that is going to the refrigerator,(that would be the center vent) there appears to be sensor attached to the opening of the center vent, would that be the thermostat to open and close the vent?
Now that the unit has run for about 12 to 18 hours the temps in the refrigerator are about 55 degrees and the freezer is still at 0 degrees. The temps in the refrigerator have steadily dropped since replacing the fan and plugging in the unit, slowly for sure but still they have dropped.

so it will be what its going to be in about 24 hours? If it doesn't get down to the temps it should be? I'd like to see the temps to be around 38 or so in the fridge. Then what would be my next move.

The damper is a problem for me, I have not been able to ID it as of yet, and if it is where i suspect, I'm not sure how it works.
It's been well over 24 hours that the fridge has been running, the temp in the freezer is at 0 degrees and the fridge is down to 38 to 40 degrees, well within the temps that will work for us. At this point my guess is that its all working the way it suppose to work, just slower than what I expected. We will be keeping an eye on the temps and adjusting the temp control knob accordingly.
