Hi,

I've been wrestling with excessive water in my GE Monogram ice maker. This weekend, I replaced the entire ice maker unit. It seemed to be working fine -- no more huge cubes, no more ice build-up in the cube tray. But this morning I went to check on the ice situation, and the freezer hinges were iced up again. The cube tray was full, and there was evidence of a water overflow below the fill tube.

I'd like to try replacing the water valve, but I can't seem to find where on this model the water valve is located. Can anybody help me find it? FYI, there's no water dispenser on this model, only an ice maker in the freezer.

Many thanks,

Matthew

I bought the service manual and answered my own question. For future reference, the water valve is mounted on the water filter bracket in the service area above the refrigerator.
