The Ice maker has quit working again. This unit has been repaired 13 times by qualified Fridgidaire technicians. The ice maker will work for about 6 months and has to be repaired again. Fridgidaire wouldn't take the refrigerator back until the unit was diagnosed as unrepairable by the technician. Now that the warranty has expired they will no longer fix it again at their expense. They offered (after numerous persistent calls) to replace mine by giving me a 40% discount on a new one. But buying another one is not an option at this time.
They have replace the circuit board on the back side of the refrigerator twice. The last one they said was the updated version that would correct our problem. On one of the visits they even replaced the entire inside ice maker unit as well as the circuit board on the back.
I tried to perform the control panel diagnostic mode by pressing the appropriate pair of buttons for the 5 second time interval but it will not change. The control panel appears to be working fine otherwise. Any help?
