This 4 year old washer makes very strange clanking noises and doesn't
spin the water out of the clothes after draining. The LED is flashing 7
times, which supposedly indicates problems with the lid switch; would
lid switch problems cause these symptoms? Doesn't seem likely, but I'd
gladly replace it if it's at least possible. I took the front panel off to
watch what it was doing, and the belt hardly every moved. Occasionally
it would go one way, then the other, very weakly. Any ideas? Mary
