Compressor stopped two months ago. Left unplugged, plugged it back in, and it ran fine until yesterday. Today it won't start; shortly after plug in, you can hear a click, which repeats a few times over the next minute, but doesn't start up. It's a minifridge modded into a kegerator.

Thankfully, it's got a cheap, widely-used Chinese-built system, and I've identified the motor start relay (QP2-4.7) and the protector circuit (B77-120) and got them in my cart. The first is $6, the latter $20.

My mildly educated hunch is that it is the starter and not the overload protector, but I'd love to have someone verify. I could order both and return what I don't need, of course, if it is *possible* the protector is faulting. (They're too close together to hear where the click comes from, even with a paper funnel.)

Any techs got advice?

Most of the time the start device is the problem, unless the compressor is drawing excessive current. If you have a meter you can test the start device (PTC)
