I'm in the process of hunting down a water line issue because of tiny, misshapen ice cubes. Water on door flows hard, so I think it's in the icemaker.

Regrettably, I can't get the ice maker out because the white plastic piece in the lower left of my picture is blocking it. I was advised that it can be freed up by putting a screwdriver in the hole where I have the arrow pointing to, but I've had no luck so far.

Any help would be much appreciated, as cocktail season is fast approaching.UserPostedImage

Much thanks in advance.

Ookie, did you ever figure out your problem? I have a similar issue with a Jenn-Air french-door unit, also pretty new (just over a year old), and my icemaker unit seems similar-looking to yours. Unlike older Whirlpool units, these don't seem to have the little LED diagnostic function, and also seem harder to access the icemaker unit.
