i am having problems with this i know that it is possibly 2-3 items that could be bad so which do i check first and where are they located are they all near the evaporator coils where the heater is located for say where is the thermostat the timer located and how do i test each one of them because i could not find a parts breakdown can someone please help me out with this.

What is the temperature in the freezer?
It should be between 0 and 5 degrees F.

Is the evaporator/freezer fan running?

You mentioned the defrost timer, why?
Are the evaporator coils clogged solid with ice/frost so you feel it could be a defrost problem?

Is the damper between the freezer and fresh food section open?
it is part 428 in section 04.
