GE front-load washer will not start. Push start button and drum spins in both directions for a few seconds and then a buzzer is heard from the door lock switch assembly. I have cleaned the water strainer filters and the pump filter at the bottom of the machine. After the buzzer sounds the door stays locked and I have to pull the manual release to open the door. The service technician manual says to plug in the machine and press signal-delay-signal-delay within 30 seconds to display trouble codes. Did the procedure and it will not go into service mode, won't display any codes. I am about to order a new door lock switch unless someone has another idea. Thanks.

I am afraid you have not received a reply because
1. Without an error code it is very hard to diagnose your problem
and
2. The main way of fixing this is to substitute parts (door switch, central control unit, etc) all of which are very expensive.
If you think the door switch is likely, go ahead, but I think you should be prepared to purchase a new machine because the cost of fixing this one will rapidly escalate.
Sorry, welcome to the world of electronics, not such a great world.
