Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, but had a question about disassembling/reassembling the lower part of the transmission to change the bearing.... specifically, any tips/how-to advice to putting the brake plate back on with the springs under it? That's what's stopping me from trying this on my own. I've already replaced the lower tub bearing, split hub ring, etc etc and still am getting noise in spin cycle, including now a bearing chirp as well.
