I was recently given a friend's Speed Queen gas dryer. It's less than 3 yrs old and she's had no issues with it but after moving it (on it's side) and installing it at my house, it vibrates severely when in use and makes a rumbling noise. When I look inside, the drum is sitting slightly to the right, with a wider gap in the felt on the left side.

Is there anything that might have been shifted when it was moved that could also cause this?? It's such a new unit that it seems unlikely that a part would suddenly wear out while being moved 6 miles.

I know that wear on the rear rollers can cause this and possibly a worn idler lever assembly but I want to know what to look for.

thank you!!

I wanted to add that it runs very well, other than the vibration and noise.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?? I would like to order the parts before I open up the unit so I don't have to do it twice.
