Hi, I was hoping that someone might be able to direct me as to how to diagnosis a problem that I am having with a dishwasher in an apartment. It's a Kenmore Dishwasher, model number: 363.14398991
The dishwasher does not seem to be filling up with water.
I've performed the following checks.
1. Checked float, looks ok
2. Checked float switch, continuity is good.
3. Unplugged connector from water inlet value. Started dishwasher and was looking for 120 volts in the connector. All I saw was .7 Volts.

I even ran the same test with the float switch removed and I connected the wires together to remove the switch from the equation.

Is the next step to check and/or replace the timer?

Thank you,

brett

Yes it is probably the timer.

To double check you could measure the fill valve/ float switch circuit at the timer usinf resistance to see if all the wiring is OK. I am not sure what the fill valve resistance should be so I would measure across it first.

I do not have access to GE wiring diagrams so unless you have it you will have to trace the wires.

Thank you. I'm going to order the timer and swap it out. I'll update the thread with the results.
