Hi, First time poster. I'm glad I found your forum and parts selection.:) I have a used Kenmore side by side made in 2004. The overload on the compressor keeps snapping with a small arc of electricity and the Compressor will not come on. I think someone worked on this refrigerator before me. I think the wiring connections to this Compressor may have been attached wrong by the previous owner. This model has the compressor pins located in an upside down pyramid arrangement with the single pin common at the bottom instead of the top. It's an Embraco EGZ 90HLP Compressor. It has the start relay plugged into the top 2 pins and the separate overload device plugged into the bottom common pin. It has the capacitor located separately. I am going to order a Whirpool AP396296 Start-Dev to replace my relay and overload. I noticed that this AP396296 device has an "L" and an "N" next to the 2 spade connections at the top (bottom). I need to know what color wires on my unit should connect to these 2 terminals? I presently have a double white wire with a single connection at the end connected to the overload dev. at the bottom pin. A red wire with a short red wire from the capacitor wired to it connected to the right terminal. And short blue wire from the capacitor connected to the left terminal. Below is two pictures of the current arrangement that I think may be incorrect. What do you think of these connections?? Thanks in advance for any help.:)

I installed a Whirlpool #2319792 Start Device and corrected my wiring to it. This new device has the relay & overload contained in one unit and the capacitor plugs into it.
The Red wire hot wire goes to the "L" connector on the new start device. The double white wire connects to the "N" or neutral connector on the device. I got rid of the green run capacitor wire because the capacitor plugs right into the start device. It runs like a champ now.:)
