My daughter has a Bosch front loading electric dryer which stopped running after "Clean Lint Filter" light came on.

After cleaning the filter and vent pipe the light stays on and dryer will not start.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks much,

George

George,

If the "lint filter" light won’t turn off, clean the lint filter (by hand) with dish soap and water. The lint filter is very fine and can be clogged over time when fabric softener or softener sheets are used.

Clening the lint filter (by hand) with soap and water did the trick. Still have a bit of a problem with the connection in the dryer door. Thanks so much for your help.George

I cleaned the filter with soap and water but the filter light stays on and the start / stop button does not light up so you can't start the dryer. Help

I have figured it out! After a year of driving me crazy. It isn't the lint filter. If it was the lint filter an error code would appear. It is the door. The laundry pushes on the door and the switch gets triggered and the dryer stops.
I got some super sticky velco and put a "Latch" on the door. I used some super sticky Velcro to move the plastic piece on the dryer over to the left. It is located on the door and is the part the latch goes into. So now the plastic part is held in place.
The last part was the door slides down too far and the plastic part is again out of the prefect position. I took Velcro and made a bump at the bottom of the dryer opening to keep it in the right position. I've had NO problems for the past 2 months! SO...a velco latch to keep the door in place. Velcro-ing the plastic square piece the latch goes into, all the way to the left. Adding a bump at the bottom of the door, to keep it at the right height. I was wedging a pencil in the gap, but made a bump instead!
Good luck!
