washer will not complete the spin cycle continues to go back and forth between rinse and spin.

Hi Pat66

The most likely culprit here is your control board, but the only way to test that theory is for you to purchase one and install it and see if that fixes the problem (welcome to the wonderful world of washing machine electronics!).

No guarantees, but that is the way I would go.
