Hello, I have a new Frigidaire dishwasher FGBD2438PF that is not draining. It is only 5 months old. There is standing dirty water in the bottom covering the bottom but not up to the heater. The drain hose is not kinked and is clear. It is under warranty. Is there a way to test this?

Thanks,

UPDATE -

Well the repair guy came out and we talked. I told him I was trying to find some way to turn on the drain mode form the front panel but could not find anything. He walks over and presses the ON button twice! First time to turn the unit one, second time to turn on the drain, third time to off.

Long story short after 28+ years in this house the dishwasher drain trap under the sink gets clogged! 5 months after a new dishwasher and I think the dishwasher is bad.

He pulls the drain hose up to the sink, hits the button twice and the unit drains just fine. He leaves and I clear the trap and run baking soda, vinegar and hot water in the dishwasher and it drains just fine now.

So depending on your model pressing the on button twice will start the drain cycle for this unit above.
