When my dryer starts and at periods during running it squeals like a stuck pig. I have had the dryer rollers/cylinder assembly changed three times at my expense. Which causes it to quit for a while. Appliance repairman said these dryers are prone to do that, lucky me! I have the part to repair the dryer but where do I get instructions to do so? At this point I would never buy a Maytag appliance again.

Well, first of all the Maytag techs are not correct. Even if the dryer is prone to roller failure it should not do so three times in less than five years. Something else is going on here, which you need to find or you will just be making repairs constantly until the real problem manifests itself in a failure.

Please post your model number, and let's see what we have.

Ok, here is the service manual which will explain how to fix your dryer.

http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16023020.pdf

Again, let me emphasize that when you take this apart you need to try to find out what is causing this, or else this will just be a regular procedure.

Good luck and let us know what you find when you tear down the machine.

Unfortunately Maytag has taken away free and open access to the their tech and repair manuals so I cannot link you to them.
