My ovens turn off and the display on the control panel goes out after the oven is on for a few minutes, this happens intermittently and the display comes back on in a few mins. The oven turns off when this happens. also display also goes blank intermittently when the oven is not turned on.
I have explained this to a local appliance repair shop and was told this is caused by a bad control board, and they quoted a price of $460 to come out and install a new control board. Hate to spend that much money if i can order a control board and install it myself.
My question is: How do i remove the control panel so i can replace the control board?

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool RBD275PRB00 Wall Oven - AppliancePartsPros.comBelow is a link to a manual. You will have to join the site and ber logged in to be able to download the manual. http://appliancejunk.com...&id=169;t=1394021065See the attachment for the tech sheet. Could be the control board or it may just be a bad connection. Check the connections for the 120 volt supply voltage to the supply transformer. Check for a cold solder joint ot a faulty connection on the board in the area where the transformer connects. A cold solder joint is often a duller silver color and may have pin holes. Gently wiggle connectors/components while watching the solder side to see if the leg moves in the solder. A magnifying glass helps when doing this. All the above is done with the power turned off. |
