 More times than not, our Kitchen Aid ice maker makes noise like it's laboring, yet ice is made, and everything else appears normal. I've cleaned it once in the 2 1/2 years we've been in our new house, but it didn't have any affect; noise was still there. Is this normal, or is there any remedy to a Kitchen Aid ice maker making an almost continuous "laboring" noise?

There are a few parts in the ice maker which could be noisy.
Try to pin point the noise by the location and the time of the cycle.

You could have an ice maker mold heater partial failure that causes noises as the ice maker is trying to push out ice cubes.
