I have a 5 year old Whirlpool Duet Washer, model # wfw9200sqa12. The washing machine will power on but when I try to start it, I get three quick beeps and then nothing--the door does not lock and it does not start. There are not error codes displayed. I have tried all available cycles and have tried unplugging several times. I have been searching for a way to run the diagnostic code on my particular model but haven't had any luck. Everything I find references quickly pushing four times either the prewash option button or the rinse/hold button, neither of which I have on my machine. I hate to call for a repair on this if I can investigate and fix myself (especially since there's no love lost between me and this machine, so I hate to shell out big bucks on it). I appreciate any suggestions/instructions anyone can provide. Thanks!

I thought I would post a follow up to this in case anyone else has a similar problem. I did finally find instructions on how to get the washer to enter diagnostic mode.
Door must be closed and power off Press and hold any button (except Start) for 4 seconds Release for 4 seconds Press/hold same button for 4 seconds Release for 4 seconds Press/hold for 4 seconds
The washer should then light up for 5 seconds and begin to display failure codes before completing the diagnostic test.
In my case, I got the error code F26 which is a door lock mechanism code. I found a video online that shows how to replace the door lock assembly. I did have to go buy a torx bit (star-shaped # T20). I got the assembly loose and then checked to make sure that all of the wiring was secure. One wire seemed that it had been loose, so I put everything back together and TOTALLY LUCKED OUT. Washer started right up. So glad it was not the central control unit (this time...knock on wood).
So, instead of a $150 service call, my husband has a new 25 bit ratchet screwdriver set for $12. Yay, me!
