Someone pls help...stil fussing with this icemaker. I replaced the whirpool icemaker #w10300033 with a new one....also replaced the pigtail harness as I found the fuze on the old one blown. Still no water on fill cycle. Replaced the water valve #w10179146. I know the icemaker is getting water..cuz prior to plugging the fridge back in(w new water inlet valve) it flooded the freezer compartment when I turned the water back on.
After clean up...plugged it in...it cycled once to dump the water in the ice tray.....heard it try to refill but NO water. Left it for 24 hrs...it kept cycling but no water. (new valve). I cked for continunity on the old valve and found it .2 ohms on both valves (it might be good). Don t think I m getting the 120 to the valve during the fill cycle. Water in the door is working fine...always has.
The pigtail wire on the icemaker I used was #ap4427021. It was NOT the exact wire called for but it IS identical to the other one (I think).
Any help greatly appreciated...I ve been messing with this for 3 months now. Bruce
