hi, I have a kitchenaid superba refrig, ksrs25cnbl00, the ice maker is not pushing the ice out into bin for dispensing. I have tried some of the tips I found online, such as defrosting, adding water to maker, to fill ice maker all the way, but none worked. I am a little confused as to how to tell if the sensor is bad. the red light blinks twice, pause, twice, pause, if the freezer door is open. if I push the emitter flap shut, the light stays on. any suggestions on what else to try? I do get water from dispenser, so I think there is good supply for that.

If you have a meter, you can check for 115 volts across the black and white wires going to the icemaker, You will need to close the flapper and wait till the optics send voltage to the icemaker.

sorry, I do not have that meter. I am guessing I willjust replace ice maker first. the unit is almost 7 years old, and has been used a bit making ice, so maybe motor or something finally gave out.
I have looked through manual, about how to remove/replace, but cannot find. any ideas?
thank you so much!

Jus remove all the screws on the bottom, then just slide it out. Sometimes they stick and you need to use a hair dryer to unstick it.

thanks, I was able to get it loose, but having trouble with the wire harness. I do not want to put too much pressure and break, but pressing the side tabs seems to do nothing to help. do I just pull apart?

Yes, you just yank it out. You can remove the wires when it's out.

I have no AC at the black and white female sockets going to the I/M. Where do I go from here? If it matters the red light operates correctly,
