The freezer isn't working at all, but the refrigerator is still cool. Cold air is coming out of the bottom vent. Can anyone help me out?

Here are your parts.
Parts for Whirlpool ED5PHEXNB00 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.com

Not sure what is going on here.
All cooling for the unit is generated in the freezer so if there is no cooling in the freezer there cannot be any cooling in the fresh food side.

Is the compressor working? You can usually hear it but should also be able to feel it vibrating.
Is the condenser/compressor fan running?
Is the evaporator/freezer fan running?

Does the compressor cycle or is it on all the time?

Have you removed the cover in the freezer to inspect the evaporator coils?

Well, it felt like the refrigerator was still cool, but it wasn't. We could hear a hum, but not sure how to check if the fans are running or how to take the cover off to inspect the coils. How do I do those things? My husband went ahead and unplugged it this morning before he left, so I can't check for those things right now, but I can have him do it when he gets home. I appreciate any help you can give.

You can see and feel air blowing if the fans are running.

The evaporator cover in the freezer is held on by screws, take a look at the parts breakdown.

Fan is running. The radiator tubing directly below the fan, is that the "coil" or the "condenser?"

I figured it out. Appears there is no circulation in the condenser and evaporator

There are two fans in the unit.

One is in the freezer.
This is the evaporator fan.
It pulls air through the evaporator coils so the air gets cold and then pushes it into the freezer and the fresh food sections.

The other is the condenser fan.
It is under the unit by the compressor and is accessible by removing the cover at the back of the unit.
It pulls air around the compressor and the condenser coils to keep them cool.

If by the above you mean that the compressor is on (you can feel it vibrating) but there is no frost on the evaporator coils then you have a sealed system problem.
This will be an expensive repair as you need a pro.
Often it makes more sense to put those dollars towards a new unit.

Since you are a newbie to to refrigerator repair perhaps the following will be useful for some basic info.
