My dryer will beep and beep though nothing is wrong with it. Sometimes I have to unplug it for a while to stop the beeping. Drives my wife crazy.

Are any lights on the control panel blinking? If they are then perform the troubleshooting as described in the tech sheets.

I can not get my dryer to enter that mode. Because all the solutions are to replace the board is that what I should start with?

Yes, that's what you may want to do first.
