The heating element stays on after the door is open. I've replaced the thermal fuse due to another issue I was having, what should I do now to fix this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You probably have a grounded heater element, otherwise, the motor heater switch is faulty. With dryer uplugged and timer in OFF position, check resistance between heater element terminals and the metal heater box. Should read infinity (open). If you read any resistance, disconnect the red wire and the hi-limit thermostat and check again to confirm that it's the heater coil that is causing the resistance reading. http://www.appliancepartspros.c...ng-279838-ap3094254.htmlEric
