SYMPTOMS
Dishwasher does not drain when dialed into that part of the cycle (it has a dial timer) although it does not overflow either, even when I move it manually from one fill cycle to the next to the next skipping everything in between over and over and over again the water level remains very constant about a half of an inch of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. although i know it is filling with water because i can see steam venting out of the door and when you touch the water it is scalding hot.
what makes this problem so difficult for me is two things
1 i know that it is filling with water because i can here it filling and the water is obviously being reintroduced because it will start out cold and the become scalding hot so i know its not the fill valve or at least i'm dismissing it.
2 i can not hear the system drain ,ever, even when i begin the rinse cycle or dry cycle when normally i can obviously hear it draining through the garbage disposal but yet i keep filling with water and i don't see the water level rise in the washer.
The problem was first noticed because of a complaint that the dishwasher detergent pod does not dissolve though a cycle even two three cycles.
The wiper turns and water shoots up out of it.
What I HAVE DONE SO FAR
I have already removed the wiper arm removed some plastic pieces from the inside of it although there is no evidence of where it came from cause nothing appears broken.Removed the trap on the bottom of the dishwasher (inside just so its clear) and cleaned debris off the filter.
The problem still persists

I cannot find any info on the given model number. Even if I just Google the number all that comes up is your post on this site. If this is not a North American unit then I do not have access to any info. Therefore I cannot be very helpful. Perhaps the following with general GE info will be of use to you. http://www.applianceaid.com/ge-dishwasher-repair-help.phpOn most older GE's there is a solenoid on the front left hand side of the pump. This controls a flapper valve in the pump. With the solenoid plunger up the water is directed to the wash arms. With the solenoid plunger down the water is directed to the drain. Some units have a piston and nut assembly at the back, bottom of the wash tub. It is behind a screen filter cover, that runs the width of the tub. If it is bad then some water is directed back into the tub during the drain cycle so the unit never drains completely. Note that even with a good drain cycle there is always water in the pump sump, usually about a quarter inch in the tub. It never drains completely as the pump will burn out the seals if run when the seals are dry. |

ok your correct the model number is incorrect i just checked it it is hda2100n10cc what should i look for in troubleshooting it if it is the solenoid on the pump isn't it connected to the pump and that is what i would replace.

The unit does not have a piston and nut asembly so you do not have to look for it. Before you replace anything I think you need to do more troubleshooting. Check that the wash/drain solenoid works during a cycle. Looking down the throat of the pump check that the flapper valve is OK. Manually move the solenoid plunger down to see if it moves the flapper to the correct position. If you look at the pump in the parts you will see a black rubber piece mounted in the center of the flapper make sure it is still there. Check that the red ball is in the correct position, see it's Q&A. Check that the drain hose is clean. A common spot for clogs to occur is where the drain hose attaches to the house plumbing. |

Can you please assign a number from the schematic to each bullet to indicate where the part is located so I know where to look Check that the wash/drain solenoid works during a cycle.
