Have Kitchen Aid side-by-side fridge. The water dispenser and ice maker have never been connected. There are no other appliances near the frig or other sources of water.

About once a week, a puddle of water ‘appears’ near the front right bottom of the frig. We thought it might be the overflow from the defrost water pan, but that is located on the left side, and it was not full when the problem occurs, and there was no trail of water from it to the puddle.

The frig is under an extended warranty sold by Pacific Sales and administered by Maytag. They sent someone out who looked under the fridge, poured a glass of water into the vent at the bottom of the frig which led to the drip pan. He could not find the leak, so he wrote it up as nothing wrong with the frig.

The puddle appeared again last nite (it happens about once a week, for the last 3 weeks now). I called Maytag again and was told they would charge me to send someone else out if they (superficially) inspected and found nothing wrong. The Maytag man also said they are not responsible for intermittent problems (even thought I purchased “complete protection”).

I think the repair person did not go far enough. There is a leak and it will take some effort to find it. Hoping to get advice for the Maytag people on where to look, or what might be wrong.

Also looking for advice on how to deal with Maytag on something like this. It is like I purchased a warranty that only covers superficial, easy to fix problems.

Thanks you.

First is there water in the bottom of the freezer or the fresh food section?

If there is no water hooked to the refrigerator and the drain is not clogged it must be condensation. This could be caused by a bad door gasket or the door being left cracked.

I have seen the drain where the drain wasn’t clogged but the drain water was missing the drain. If this is the case there will be ice in the bottom of the freezer. This is not common but possible. This is all I know to tell you other than it is wrong for them not to come back even if they don't think there is anything wrong with the refrigerator. Hope this helps! Refrigerator repair guide

I have the same problem... kitchen aid side-by-side refrigerator (KSCS25FVMS01) with an occasional small puddle in front of the right side. Did you ever figure it out?

I took the bottom kicker panel off this morning to take a look, and I did notice that the small coils on the front right were absolutely covered in a blanket of thick dust. I peeled that off (gross), and all of the sudden I could feel air flow through there. Maybe that was doing it? The kicker panel was pretty dusty, too, so I cleaned that.
