After several days washer fills with water while turned off. What water valve part do I need?

The water valve is a solenoid type device and its sounds like yours if not closing completely so water is leak into the tub.

Here is the part.

Part number: AP4323862
Part number: AP4323862

Let us know if that fixes things, it should.

I have same issue with an LG Steam Washer. Works great otherwise, but the unwanted water has actually overflowed the tub a few times. Is it the same part #?

It's not the same part number, but it is likely the same part.

Call in your order with your model number and you should get the right part. In the meantime turn off your washer faucets until you have it fixed, and then remember to turn them on when you use the washer.
