Hello, I am looking for some help with my gas Maytag Dryer, it seems to be running hot when on the low setting. About 1 to 1 1/2 years ago I replaced the control thermostat because it was running hot on high and that seems like it is OK but the low side seems to be affected (it could also be that I haven't noticed it on high). The clothes are very hot when we remove them from the dryer on the low setting. I have included a copy of the schematics and I don't understand how the unit controls the temperature settings. The dryer has a 3 position heat selector - Air Fluff, Low and Regular but the schematics only show 2 positions, doesn't indicate which positions are what and has a thermostat heater in one of the positions that I have no clue what it does, the 4 wire colors on the schematic are attached to the control thermostat. I also don't see how the dryer controls the low heat vs. the high heat based on the schematic. I did test the thermostat to the best of my ability - the heater has 7K ohm on it and the thermostat shows 0 ohms with no heat. I tested the temps on both settings and with an empty dryer it is cycling between 100 F to about 200 F on low and 110 F to 215 F on high. I am guessing with the difference in temperatures that the control thermostat is probably working as one of the high limit thermostats would trigger at the same temp all the time. I'm at a loss as what it could be as I have plenty of air circulation, the unit is pretty clean and the control thermostat seems to be working. The unit is oldish, has some rust ... I would just like to keep it working a little while longer. Thanks in advance for your help!

Temps are too high. In high heat, the operating thermostat should cycle burner off at 146° and back on at 121°. Heat selector L1 to C closed, L1 to 1 open for high heat, both closed for low heat and both open for air fluff (no heat). In low heat, thermostat heater is on. Heater is part of thermostat and will cause thermostat to heat up and cycle off sooner causing an overall lower heat than high. You either have an airflow problem or the thermostat is faulty.
Blower temp on low should be between 105-125° and on high, 110-145°

There seems to be a lot of air blowing out of the exhaust but that's just based on me being outside and seeing a lot of air movement around the exhaust; I wouldn't know how to measure the airflow correctly.
The temps as I was measuring them did drop fairly rapidly - within a minute or two and then recycled up.
I guess my first thing is I'll look at the exhaust duct and see if there's anything blocking and if not I'll get another control thermostat.
