Was cooking Pizza at 500+ degrees. A loud popping sound which tripped the breaker.
Now the control panel is dead, but the oven light still operates. Stove of course, still works if you ignite the burner with a lighter.
The outlet as well as the power block inside the stove all register 120v. Visual inspection of the power block shows no corrosion, shorting, melting, etc. (I have since unplugged the stove as a precaution).
The stove is probably 15 years old, but I'm not sure I am ready to buy a 2800.00 gas/convection oven - which my wife insists we should replace it with.

I believe the control panel went out, but I was wanting someone with more experience with these stoves could confirm that. Do you think it is worth replacing a control panel in a stove that is 15 years old? Lastly, if I do replace the stove, is it worth trying to sell? I wouldn't think so. I believe I should just let the city haul it away.
