My Kitchen Aid KSRS25CNLK fridge is not cooling, either the fridge or freezer size. There is a fan blowing in both, but not cold air. I'm not 100% sure but I think I did hear some unusual sounds the night before we noticed it not working.
Possibly is the control board? It's not quite 10 years old yet so the sealed components are still under warranty (until September). No vents on the inside of the unit appear to be blocked or dirty.
Compressor does not sound like it is turning on.
Got Sears repair coming over tomorrow afternoon unless I can figure something out before then.

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool KSRS25CNLK00 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. It is for a KSRS25CNLK01. I am assuming that the fan you refer to is the evaporator fan. Is the condenser/compressor fan running? If yes then the compressor should be on as it is wired in parallel with this fan. You should be able to feel the compressor vibrating. If the condenser fan is off then it is probably a control problem. If the condenser fan and compressor are on but then it could be the compressor's start device, the compressor itself, a sealed system problem or a defrost problem. With a defrost problem the evaporator coils will be clogged solid with frost/ice. The other problems will show either no frost or frost in one area of the evaporator coils. |

Repairman came (from Oak Hill Appliance), says the control board is bad. Went back to shop to quote price. If it's much more than the board being sold on this site I may just order it myself.

Got the new board delivered and replaced it myself, fridge works great now! It was somewhat difficult to get the old board out and the new board in because it attaches via clips instead of screws. Also it's an odd board that is in two pieces, so you have to "break" the tabs connecting the two pieces so one side can be angled. Glad it is done!
