Freezer just cool and no longer freezing and now the fridge is barely cold even on highest cool setting...

What is on and what is not re: compressor, fans etc.?

You can usually hear the compressor but should also be able to feel it vibrating.

Does the compressor cycle or is it off or does it run continuously.

Can hear the fan and it seems to blow a little cold air.
Fridge much quieter than usual and not vibrating
As usual.

You have to find out what is humming?

You cannot just guess at troubleshooting as your problem can have many different causes.

Here are your parts

Open the freezer door. If it has a door switch activate the switch. Is the fan at the back of the freezer running?

Pull the unit away from the wall.
Remove the lower rear cover.
Is the condenser/compressor running?
Is the compressor running? You can usually hear it but also should be able to feel it vibrating and it should be warm.

I have a whirlpool side by side and the compressor isn't coming on with same symptoms as marie4965 not sure what to replace?
