water is leaking out of a hole in the motor after the DW fills with water - it does not leak during the fill or discharge cycles - I replaced the motor - the description calls it a motor but looks like a white rectangular box with a couple of wires connected to it. Any ideas

Sounds like you replaced the motor for the diverter. If the seal for this part's shaft is where the leak is then you have to replace the sump as the seal is part of the sump. Click on the picture for more views/info on this part. Part number: W10134035

OK - I replaced the sump after replacing the motor diverter and the DW still leaks out of a hole in the diverter - just a small drip during certain cycles but enough to know it is not right - so new motor diverter and new sump - I checked the diverter to make sure it is seated all of the way and re-checked the screws that hold it in place. Any ideas??

Without actually being there I cannot be of much use.
Could be a seal is pinched or twisted.
I can tell you that when I install parts I always put a light coating of lithium grease on the seals this seems to help prevent twists etc. |
