My GE defrost timer caught fire. Here are the numbers that could be the timer model numbers: DFCJZ44RE9 or 162D6022P19 or WRO90520. Have you heard of this happening before? What can cause something like this to happen? Do you think it happened in the timer itself or could something else in the refrigerator do something to cause the timer to catch fire? Thanks for any help.

Depending on location, some liquid may have got into the timer, part #WR9X520, this site AP2061721. You may have to crimp on new spade terminals to the input wires.
