Hi; sorry can't find a model number on this. With the under-sink valve "on", the dishwasher fills up and leaks out even when the dishwasher is "off". I have to keep the under-sink valve off in order to prevent this from happening. Is there some kind of in-dishwasher pressure valve to prevent the dishwasher from filling up, even when the dishwasher is off?

I also see a leak under the dishwasher from what looks like maybe a solenoid(?) just above where the braided water hose connects to the dishwasher. It's leaking from near the electrical connector at the top. Could this be related?

Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere; I did carry out a search on the forum but could not find anything quite the same. Perhaps it's my ignorance. Also, I know virtually nothing about appliances (although I'm an ex-car mechanic, so might be able to fix this, not sure), so please be gentle with me, if you'll pardon the expression. Thanks in advance; Tim

It sounds like the unit's water valve is leaking and also not sealing.

You will have to find the model number to be able to find a replacement valve.

Thanks very much, Denman. I've found the model number thanks to you, and removed the water valve. I'll go and get a new one tomorrow. Greatly appreciated.
