Hi I have a Kenmore gas range. The oven light bulb burnt out the other day. I replaced the bulb and it still doesn't work. I tested the bulb in a lamp socket and it works.
So I pulled the back panel off the stove and found the socket and the two wires attached to it. I pulled the wires off, plugged in the stove, shut the oven door, and pushed the light button on the control panel on, and put a tester on the wires and no electric going to the socket.
This test bypassed the oven door switch. Does anyone know whats wrong?

Here is a wiring diagram.

Unplug the unit.
Check at the control board using resistance to be sure the door switch closes when the door is closed.
Install the light bulb and check at the control board to Neutral to see if you measure the light bulb resistance.

If both the above are OK then I would say that the problem is in the control board.
