Hello folks, 1st post here. My Frigidaire Gallery side-by-side thru the door ice dispenser decided to continuously dispense ice. Flapper gate stays open and will close but it strangely/intermittently operates correctly. I tried a hair dryer in the area to see if anything was frozen up. worked OK for a day. Does anyone know how to remove the front face control panel/bezel to access the guts? The control face is flush with the door not the usual bezel over the door that would allow a putty knife to slide under and pry up/around to un-snap the connectors. Any suggestions would be appreciated so i don't cause collateral damage to it. thanks........Robin C.

i just worked on one of these a couple days ago. the part you are going to remove is plastic, so be careful. you need to simply pull out the little plate at the bottom of the ledge where you would place your cup...then you have to grip that plastic and snap it out. it is surprisingly resilient, but be careful. you just have to unsnap it all the way around the frame. then it snaps back in when you are done. i found that the hardest places to unsnap were the two bottom corners. you are PROBABLY going to be looking at a bad solenoid i think, but the part only comes in an assembly with everything else. here is a link: Frigidaire 242074211 Module-Dispenser - AppliancePartsPros.com it is part number 8 in the diagram
