I have a Kenmore 80 series washer. It made a grinding noise during the spin cycle then quit spinning. I checked the coupler and the plastic piece cracked. I ordered a coupler from appliancepartspros.com and replaced (got the 2 plastic pieces and the rubber piece). I tapped the plastic pieces on like the video showed. Then tested it. The first run, a whistling noise occurred during the spin cycle. So, I took everything back apart to get to the couplings and tapped the plastic pieces a little bit more. I gave it another test run, the whistle came then went during the spin cycle, but now smells like burning rubber during it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Couplers not on far enough. They must be on far enough so that the hub of the plastic pieces are just a hair past flush with the shafts.
