Our GE Washer WDRR2500K4WW worked fine until a heavy load stopped it.It wouldnt spin or agitate.I took the drum out with everything attached.I got the motor to spin in spin mode while it was still out of the shell and upside down.It also goes in reverse when I blow into the fill sensor, but it didnt agitate while it was out of the shell. It doesn't have a clutch attached to the motor and I didn't see one.No led lights on motor either. Will it agitate while the tub is out and upside down. Could it be the compasitor thats on the front right hand side of the shell.

Yes, it should agitate with tub assembly removed and upside down but how do you know it's not agitating when upside down? You can't see the agitator. Sounds like it's working now? If the motor starts and runs, the capacitor is fine. Put it back together and see what happens.

Thank You Eric for your reply. I actually tilted it sideways and could see it wasn't agitating, but I didn't give it much time. It looked a little dangerous.I tested everything else. I can hand turn it both ways. Like I said I didn't see any clutch.
(Could it be inside transmission?) (If there is no clutch is that why there is a big
capacitor mounted on frame?)

So, the motor operates in both directions? Main drive pulley also rotating in both directions? With assembly upside down, hand rotating the main drive pulley clockwise should produce spin, counterclockwise should cause agitation. If no agitation while rotating pulley CCW, then either the agitator coupler is stripped or the transmission is bad.The capacitor is for starting/running the motor.
