I ordered a replacement pump housing gasket and got the entire baseplate part (W10142656). The gasket is integral with the base. Unfortunately, there seems to be no information on removing the impeller in order to change the base plate assembly. Can anyone tell me how to remove the impeller from the motor shaft without destroying everything?

Below is the part. Click on the picture for more info and a Q&A section that may help. Part number: AP4502038
Below is a link to a site with a manual. You will have to join the site and be logged in to download the manual. Note that it is for a unit that uses the same part so might be of some use. I cannot say if it will be exactly the same as I do not have a Sears to Whirlpool model cross reference. http://appliancejunk.com...&id=233;t=1386161325 |

They were no help. They did not list any Kenmore manuals. I'm going to have to return the part and replace the dishwasher, it seems. Thanx for trying.

Kenmore does not make anything. Your first 3 digits of the sears model number tell you who made the machine, in this case Whirlpool. |
