Jenn-Air
MODEL: sve47600w
SN: 18286028VH

Summary
The oven fan comes on when the temperature reaches 220 degrees--regardless of whether Convect, Broil, or Bake is selected. A woman I know who has a slightly newer Jenn-Air has the same problem.

Experimental Details
If the oven is turned off as soon as the the fan comes on (i.e., 220 degrees), the fan continues to run for about 45 minutes. Leaving the oven the oven door open after turning off the oven does not decrease the fan's run-time.

If the oven is heated to a more "normal" temperature of 350-375 and remains at that temperature long enough to be useful, the fan can take a couple of hours to shut off, even if the oven door is propped open to expedite cool-down.

The time required for the fan to turn off is slightly dependent upon how long the oven has been on. That is, turning it of immediately upon reaching 350 vs two hours at 350 degrees reduces the fan run time slightly. In either case, the fan runs long after the interior of the oven is cool to the touch.

Thanks in advance,

Joe

Hi.

According the oven diagram the cooling fan is controlled by the relay board via temperature sensor.
The sensor at room t* should show resistance 1000 - 1100 Ohm.
If it's tests OK then the relay board is not working properly.

The sensor Part number: 12001656
Part number: 12001656

The relay board Part number: 12001691
Part number: 12001691

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Jenn-Air SVE47600W RANGE- S/C S/I DDRAFT ELE | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you.Keep us posted.

I'm finally ready to dive into this problem.

Can you tell me how to access the relay board?
